What is Counselling?
Counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. Rather it involves a
process that empowers you to move forward and deal with life's problems in a balanced way.
It offers a safe and non-judgmental way of talking through issues.
Counselling is a way of addressing and resolving issues, and may involve identifying options,
making choices, and learning new skills so that you have increased ability to cope better with life's challenges.
Why Counselling?
Counselling is about creating a safe place where you can explore without fear problems that have arisen in your life.
By building a relationship based on respect, acceptance, trust and empathy with a counsellor it becomes possible to
understand how and where your difficulties have arisen.
Counselling will help you confront, face, and acknowledge any difficulties, so you can manage them better
and so move on to a more liberated life.
